HATE

All men kill the thing they hate, too, unless, of course, it kills them first. Always remember others may hate you but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.
Hate is the consequence of fear; we fear something before we hate; a child who fears noises becomes the man who hates them.
Hate misleads, fear distorts and love blinds.

Hatred is self-punishment.

I think that hate is a thing, a feeling, that can only exist where there is no understanding.

I have found out there ain't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them

If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn't part of ourselves doesn't disturb us.

It is a curious subject of observation and inquiry, whether hatred and love be not the same thing at bottom. Each, in its utmost development, supposes a high degree of intimacy and heart-knowledge; each renders one individual dependent for the food of his affections and spiritual life upon another; each leaves the passionate lover, or the no less passionate hater, forlorn and desolate by the withdrawal of his object.
It is easier to hate those we love, than love those whom we have hated.
Next to meeting somebody who admires someone we admire, we all like to meet somebody who hates someone we hate.

Of all the objects of hatred, a woman once loved is the most hateful.

One does not hate as long as one has a low esteem of someone, but only when one esteems him as an equal or a superior. Friedrich Nietzsche

We hate some persons because we do not know them; and we will not know them, because we hate them.

When we don't know who to hate, we hate ourselves.
